Greetings from Canada

Yeah, you read that right - Canada - not really where we expected to be tonight either. Our flight out of Charlotte was cancelled due to a maintenance problem on the plane, but after an hour on the phone, Heather managed to get us rebooked onto a flight to Toronto, followed by a KLM flight to Amsterdam. It has been entertaining so far, when we arrived in Toronto, we tried to go through the door for transferring to another international flight, but as we didn't have boarding passes, we were told to go out to the KLM desk and get them then come back to the air side. As it turns out, after we passed through immigration, we found out that the KLM desk was in a different terminal, just a short train ride away... then when we arrived at the KLM desk they didn't have out ticket numbers in the reservation, so they told us we should go talk to US Air and get the ticket numbers from them... of course, they were back at the other terminal a short train ride away... thankfully, we still had the phone number for US Air and we were able to call and get the info they needed without leaving the KLM ticketing counter - then it took two people on three computers to get the ticket numbers assigned to our reservation, but we are now sitting at the gate listening to the sweet sound of the early boarding announcements so we should soon be on our way.
